Full to New Moon Release, May 2023 🌕🌖🌗🌘🌑

The estimated read is 2 minutes.

We just experienced a Full Moon lunar eclipse. This is when the shadow of the Earth casts the full Moon in temporary darkness. Now we are moving into a New Moon.

While Full Moons are great for reflection, New Moons are all about releasing, purging, and letting go.

Tarot Card Pull

To help us release, I pulled a tarot card to see what we could focus on letting go of. The card pulled was the Six of Swords.

The message here is clear: Work to let go of negative self-talk. If negative thoughts or ruminations start to take over, think of your inner child. Would you speak to them in that way? Be gentle.

Brighter days are ahead when you gift yourself patience and perseverance.

Notes on the Six of Swords

Interested in digging more into tarot meaning?

  • Swords are related to the mind, mentality, ways of thinking, and air.

  • Six is related to communication, The Lovers, and Gemini. Planets such as Venus and Mercury are correlated to The Lovers and Gemini.

Any time a six comes up, a question to ask is, “Am I doing this out of love for myself? Am I doing this out of love for others?”.

When you think about the message, always look at the imagery. Here we see an adult figure moving two small children across an ocean. Oceans are often associated with change, emotions, feelings, and relationships.

Are there any other associations you feel when you see this card?
