I recently had a tarot reading get rescheduled so I decided to use the time to do a tarot pull for the collective (Find my initial pull on TikTok). Below, find a couple of cards to personally reflect on during this Aquarius full Moon we are moving into.

Finding this post, after the full Moon? In any case, take what resonates.

The Full Moon

Full Moons 🌕 are often seen as a time of reflection. It’s when the Moon’s face is fully exposed and reflecting the Sun’s light. It’s like an invitation to slow down and check in with our subconscious and how our thoughts are influencing our actions and showing up in our day to day. Generally the Moon is associated with the sign Cancer ♋️ and with the idea of being home, in some cases, a motherly force. This full Moon sits in the sign of Aquarius ♒️.

Aquarius is air sign associated with the water-bearer. Many people mistake it for a water sign because of the watery connotations, but I’d say it’s an air sign that invites us to consider how we are holding our water. In tarot, air is associated with our mind, intellect, and mental state 🧠. Water is associated with our emotions, feelings, and relation to other people 💞.

As someone who dreams often, I’ve found that during these air sign moons, I’m invited to take a look at how I have and am currently navigating thoughts surrounding my family and those close to me.

The High Priestess and Two of Wands

After setting up my cards and stones the word “Shakti” popped into my head as I adjusted a seashell I placed at the corner of my setup. My first thoughts were “feminine” and “creation”. I’ve loosely been studying hinduism and looking to connect with a local practice so it’s not out of left-field that this word would come to mind. I quickly checked to see if the meaning I was thinking was on par and it was.

According to Yogapedia, “Shakti is the Hindu goddess responsible for creation and all dynamic forces in the universe. She is also called The Great Divine Mother or The Universal Mother.” This was a fitting connotation as I went in to draw a card for the reading.

Two cards came out, first the Two of Wands, an accident that I initially ignored, then second, the High Priestess, another two card that promoted me to reconsider ignoring the Two of Wands.

Both of these cards are associated with the number 2. A number that invites us to check in with our higher-self and intuition. I’ve written some about the High Priestess before. She asks if our movements reflect our desires, not just the expectations and will of other people. She shares an opportunity to slow down and recalibrate with desires that feel wholly fulfilling—mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. She reminds me of Shakti, mentioned earlier.

Similar, the two of wands denotes some reflection on the way we are moving and creating our personal universe. With wands being fiery 🔥 and associated with creation, it’s about moving in ways that feel aligned to goals that fulfill us in more ways than one.

Together they bring us the number 4. A number of earthliness and physical creation.

Questions for Reflection

Here are a couple of questions to consider and reflect on this full moon with these two cards.

  1. How are we connecting with our intuition?

  2. How are our physical movements reflecting what feels right for us and the world we desire to create?

  3. If we don’t feel connected how can we slow down to align?

In closing, I do believe that there are always at least one or two people within reach who can help us to reflect and create the world we envision.

If that’s not ringing true for you it might be a good time to sit with yourself and consider how you might get more in touch with your desires so you might better be able to align with folks that can help bring the world you envision into purview. I don’t think we are meant to go at things alone but I do believe some solitude can help recalibrate.
